Lists of “top game companies in Islamabad” are easy to find and hard to trust. One popular list we checked places Mindstorm Studios, Game District and FRAG Games in Islamabad. All three are Lahore studios.
So we built this list the slow way. Each studio below has an Islamabad or Rawalpindi base, and each description uses only what the studio says on its own website or public profile. We checked them on 2 October 2026. There is no ranking; the order is roughly oldest first.

Trango Interactive
One of the first. Wikipedia’s history of video games in Pakistan names Trango Interactive and ForkParticle, both in Islamabad, alongside Lahore’s Wireframe Interactive as the country’s three major game production studios in the early years. Its LinkedIn profile describes an independent CG and game development studio with offices in California and Islamabad, working on PC and mobile games.
we.R.play
we.R.play was founded in 2010 and has its headquarters in Islamabad. Its site describes game and app development for other companies and lists clients including Disney, Warner Bros., Activision Blizzard, Zynga and Marvel. With that client list, it is the obvious candidate for large co-development work.
Ah Game Studio
Ah Game Studio was founded in 2021. Its site lists 34 published games on Android and iOS, a team of 16, and services covering Unity 2D and 3D development, game art, store optimisation and QA. It markets itself as an Islamabad studio; its address is in Bahria Town Phase 7, on the Rawalpindi side of the twin cities.
Ropstam Game Studio
Ropstam Game Studio has an office in Islamabad and its headquarters in Burlington, Canada. Its Clutch profile gives a founding year of 2023, a team of 10 to 49, an hourly rate of $25 to $49 and a minimum project of $1,000. Services listed include mobile games, AR / VR, 2D and 3D animation and Web3 work.
Gamotronix Studio
Gamotronix Studio is an independent Islamabad studio building mobile and XR games. Its site lists releases on Google Play, the App Store, Meta Horizon and PICO, with more than twelve games out. It is one of the few local studios working in VR.
Interactive Game Studio
Interactive Game Studio is an Islamabad studio making free Android and iOS games across action, racing, arcade and mini-game genres. Its site claims more than 50 million downloads across its titles.
Leekon Studio
That’s us. Leekon Studio is an indie Unity studio founded in 2025 in Islamabad. We are building Layerfall, a co-op dungeon extraction game for PC, and we take client work: prototypes, full games and co-development. How Islamabad compares with Lahore and Karachi
Several of Pakistan’s biggest names are in Lahore. The government-backed Centres of Excellence in Gaming and Animation are in Karachi and Lahore, not Islamabad.
Islamabad’s strengths are different. It was home to two of the country’s earliest studios, and it hosted the first Games Emerge conference in 2016. Our guide to game development in Pakistan covers the whole country.
How to choose
- A long production or publisher co-development: look at the larger, older studios.
- A mobile game on a budget: a small mobile studio with a list of shipped titles.
- VR or AR: ask who has shipped on Meta or PICO, not who offers it.
- A prototype to test an idea: a small studio with a fixed price. That is where we fit.

How we made this list
We started from studios that show up in searches for Islamabad game companies. We kept a studio only if its own site or profile confirmed an Islamabad or Rawalpindi base and said what it makes. We left out studios whose sites we could not open and studios that turned out to be in another city.
